Hello! My name is Mary Hubbard. I am a self-taught artisan working from my home studio in Bel Air, Maryland. After over 30 years of working in fiber, it was my desire for unique beads and buttons to use in my pieces that brought me to working with porcelain, stoneware, and earthenware clays. In 2010, I began creating buttons, beads, and pendants to use in my handcrafted jewelry and fiber items and offered my pieces for sale at small festivals. I personally create every item and do not use molds in my work. Each unique item is created using a pinch method or are slab built, shaped, textured, glazed, and fired in my home studio. I enjoy making whimsical one of a kind pieces that inspire happiness in others whether it's as a piece of jewelry, special buttons for their clothing, or as a colorful functional piece of art to enjoy in the home, office, or as a gift for someone special. Please visit my shop and find your little piece of tangible happiness.
